Your Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Internal Medicine patient referrals and oversee care coordination for hospitalized patients, ensuring appropriate admissions, case management, and resource utilization.
  2. Act as the Medicine consultant for Surgical and other specialties, providing timely consultations as needed.
  3. Participate in 24/7 on-call coverage, responding to urgent and routine requests in a timely manner.
  4. Perform necessary medical procedures and manage unassigned Internal Medicine patients effectively.
  5. Engage in quality improvement initiatives, including participation in medical staff meetings and development of clinical pathways.
  6. Foster strong relationships with patients, physicians, and hospital staff to enhance service delivery and satisfaction.
  7. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  8. Adhere to all Medical Staff Bylaws and hospital policies.
  9. Provide medical services in accordance with third-party payer requirements.
  10. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Adult Hospitalist Medical Director.

Education:

Must possess a Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent, with board certification required. Successful completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is essential.

Experience:

A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience as a board-certified Adult Hospitalist Physician is required, demonstrating competency in managing hospital patients.

Licenses/Certifications:

Must hold a current, unrestricted medical license in Oregon and possess current DEA certification.
