Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at SGA Dental Partners. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dental office and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care and treatment
- Prepare and maintain dental equipment and instruments
- Take and develop radiographs (x-rays)
- Assist with patient scheduling and record-keeping
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program
- Dental assisting experience preferred
- Valid x-ray certificate
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Licenses required for this position must be kept current, valid, and in good standing
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person, and speak clearly
- Ability to read memos, computer screens, personnel forms, and clinical and administrative documents
- High manual dexterity
- Ability to reach above the shoulder level to work, bend, squat, and sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, and twist/turn
