Job Summary:

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients at Acute Rehabilitation Hospital of Plano. As a CNA, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver personalized care, promote independence, and support the overall well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:

Provide personal care to patients in a safe and comfortable manner, consistent with community policy.

Promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence for patients.

Advise the supervising charge nurse of resident's status at the beginning and end of shift.

Contribute knowledge of resident's conditions/needs to resident care plans.

Assist in the implementation of care plans as directed within the parameters of established policy and procedure.

Observe and report on patients' conditions, and document observations as required.

Comply with requirements of procedures for safe lifting and/or safe transfer of patients per established policies and procedures.

Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting.

Assure that equipment is clean and functional.

Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as may be required to maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Requirements:

State certification as a nursing assistant.

Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant.

Highly developed observation skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
