Accel at Willow Bend in Plano, TX, is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our team. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will administer oral and topical medications to residents, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations, and consistent with facility policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications as ordered by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the "five rights" of medication administration.
  • Report any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse.
  • Administer PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
Qualifications:
  • State certification as a nurse aide is required.
  • State approved medication administration certification.
  • Complete familiarity with duties of a certified nurse aide.
  • Highly developed observation skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
