Certified Medical Assistant Job Summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to assist physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment. The ideal candidate will promote efficient patient flow and patient care, performing exams and procedures as needed. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will perform clinic support tasks, including miscellaneous clerical duties, answering phones, and maintaining physician schedules. The successful candidate will support and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Certified Medical Assistant Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms as necessary.
• Record patient data prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Answer patient telephone calls for referral to physician or nurse/pharmacist.
• Perform other administrative duties, such as typing, filing, faxing, chart preparation, and reception, as requested by supervisor or physician.

Certified Medical Assistant Requirements

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a medical assistant.
• IV skills/experience is a plus.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current Certified Medical Assistant certification required.

Certified Medical Assistant Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Certified Medical Assistant Education

High school graduate or equivalent. Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants.
