Clinical Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Coordinator to join our team at WellSpan Health. As a Clinical Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing the daily operations and activities of professional nursing and nursing support staff on assigned units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Nurse Manager to ensure alignment with the System/nursing strategic plan.
  • Maintain adequate staffing levels and skill mix based on census and acuity.
  • Ensure compliance with National Patient Safety Goals, agency, and state regulations.
  • Develop and implement nursing standards of care based on EBP and nursing research.
  • Analyze Patient Experience data to identify areas for improvement and work within the unit SDM structure to reach targets.
  • Facilitate and support safe, quality care at the bedside by providing exemplary direct patient care.
  • Actively facilitate the performance appraisal process and provide feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  • Participate in the growth and professional development of all staff by encouraging and supporting advancement through the clinical ladder, specialty certifications, and continuing education.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • 2 years of relevant experience, including charge nurse experience and Registered Nurse II and above.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse upon hire required.
  • Basic Life Support upon hire required.
