Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our team at WellSpan Health in Ephrata, PA. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a vital role in providing medical nutrition therapy to patients in an inpatient or outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and interpret patient nutritional status using anthropometric measurements, nutrition-focused physical examination, and laboratory values.
  • Develop, revise, and individualize nutrition care plans based on patient information, medical records, and healthcare team input.
  • Implement and monitor enteral and parenteral nutrition in coordination with physicians and healthcare teams.
  • Document all relevant aspects of nutrition care in the electronic medical record (EMR) according to department and institutional standards.
  • Provide evidence-based counseling to patients, including individuals, families, and community groups.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop nutrition plans and promote healthy nutrition choices.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or related field from a program approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
  • 1 year of supervised practice experience or 1 year of on-the-job experience.
  • Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist within 90 days and Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist within 180 days.
