Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medical supplies, including inventory levels, expiration dates, and ordering information.
  • Order and receive medical supplies, ensuring that they are properly stocked and organized.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff, responding to requests for medical supplies and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the nursing department and other stakeholders to ensure that medical supplies are properly managed and utilized.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of medical supply management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in health information management or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience working in medical records management, preferably within a long-term care facility or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-10, CPT), and healthcare documentation standards.
  • Previous experience in ordering supplies and compiling purchase orders.
