Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer to join our multi-disciplined Construction Site Engineering group, part of the Bettis Construction Department. As a Construction Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, design, and execution of a wide variety of on-site construction projects. You will work closely with Project Managers, multiple disciplines of Engineers, Contract Administrators, Construction Oversight personnel, End Users, and Subcontractors to deliver infrastructure improvement projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop project functional requirements and prepare submittals, including project documents and/or drawings
  • Specify materials and review project plans, estimating manpower/costs required to complete tasks
  • Provide field oversight to active projects to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Work within a project execution team environment with a Project Manager and engineers on construction projects for buildings and site infrastructure
  • Develop work scopes with project sponsors and work with an A/E firm to develop the design
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of construction management, industry and building trade practice, techniques, codes, and standards
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office Suite
