The Regional Sourcing Manager position is a key role within MasTec Inc., responsible for sourcing vendors for the East region and managing vendor relationships. This position requires a strong understanding of vendor management and operations, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the central point of contact for project and market staff, liaising between Corporate VMO, business partners, vendors, suppliers, project teams, and corporate support teams.
- Advocate for partners and vendors, promoting mutually beneficial initiatives.
- Recruit and vet general contractors for both wireless and fiber infrastructure builds.
- Provide leadership and total lifecycle supplier relationship management.
- Monitor purchase orders and collaborate with markets to reconcile vendor accounts.
- Analyze, organize, and report on large data sets.
- Support management, field teams, and other cross-functional departments.
- Support the development, enhancement, and management of the VMO Vendor Compliance program.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports.
- Support customer program goals and objectives, promoting supplier diversity and vendor incentive programs.
- Aid Corporate VMO in the proper vetting of prospect vendors and facilitate due diligence reviews.
- Conduct market research and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates to meet market needs.
- Work with market leaders to understand and interpret regional needs.
- Maintain integrity and lead ethically and by example.
- Attend industry-related trade shows and conventions.
- Promote collaboration between market leaders and within the Sourcing organization.
- Knowledgeable of state and local laws for General Contractor licensing requirements.
- Working knowledge of Oracle, QuickBase, Avetta, and other similar online industry/SaaS database supplier relationship management applications.
- Strong communicator and presenter.
- Professional demeanor and executive presence.
- Proven track record in negotiating pricing and reducing costs.
- Coordinate with HQ on addition of new vendors.
- Maintain a tracker on vendor crews and assist in issuing work based on crew availability.
- Coordinate pricing approvals with the executive team.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in vendor management and operations.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation experience.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Familiarity with vendors along the East Coast, specifically the Florida and Georgia markets.
- Competitive salary range: $87,000-$100,000/yr (DOE).
