Job Summary:

AltaStaff is hiring a Clinical Assessment Specialist to review consumer assessments for long term care services and supports in New York State. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of practicing experience as a Nurse Practitioner and excellent clinical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and make recommendations on consumer assessments for long term care services and supports.
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes pertaining to quality and validity of assessments.
  • Assess cases presented and utilize clinical competencies to review and validate assessment outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively to monitor and address clinical quality and gaps in care.
  • Provide clinical and educational assistance to support project initiatives.
  • Demonstrate communication skills necessary to interpret age-specific responses.
  • Participate in performance, improvement, and quality assurance activities and related meetings.
  • Meet all standards established for this position as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template for this position.

Requirements:

  • Current NY Nurse Practitioner Licensure.
  • Proof of Board of Certification.
  • Proof of Malpractice Insurance showing professional liability coverage of 1M per incident/3M agg.
  • 2+ years practicing experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Computer literacy and the ability to navigate new and emerging technology.
  • Must meet BYOD requirements.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment with proven ability to work with community groups.

Additional Requirements:

  • Upon credentialing, all candidates will need the following vaccinations:
  • Physical exam signed and dated by a physician within the last year.
  • PPD or QuantiFeron (within 1 year) or chest X-ray with Questionnaires (every 5 years).
  • TDAP within 10 years.
  • Quantitative Titers for MMR & Varicella.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination schedule or Declination Form Also Accepted.
  • Proof of Covid19 Vaccine.
  • Proof of Flu Vaccine.
