Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Care Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with Medication Management: Help residents with medication administration, ensuring they take their medications as prescribed.
  • Support with Mobility and Transfers: Assist residents with walking, transferring, and using wheelchairs or other mobility aids.
  • Engage in Social Activities: Participate in recreational and social activities with residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, and equipment, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care and support.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: Current certification in CPR and First Aid required. Medication Administration certification preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in healthcare or a related field preferred.
