Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Permanent Immigration Paralegal to enhance our legal team. This role is crucial for the oversight and preparation of immigration cases. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of immigration law, exceptional attention to detail, and strong document preparation capabilities. A commitment to confidentiality and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and prepare a diverse array of immigration cases, including employment-based and family-based petitions, as well as deportation matters.
  2. Draft, review, and submit various legal documents, including petitions, applications, motions, and briefs.
  3. Conduct legal research and remain updated on the latest immigration laws and procedures.
  4. Communicate with clients to collect necessary information and documents, keeping them informed on case progress.
  5. Ensure the confidentiality of all client information and legal matters.
  6. Collaborate with attorneys and other paralegals to facilitate case progression and adhere to filing deadlines.
  7. Organize and maintain case files, legal documents, and client records efficiently.
  8. Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling, correspondence management, and phone communication.


Qualifications:
  1. At least 5 years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal, ideally within a law firm.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related discipline; paralegal certification is advantageous.
  3. In-depth understanding of immigration law and procedures.
  4. Proven track record in preparing and filing various immigration cases.
  5. Outstanding document preparation and legal writing skills.
  6. Strong dedication to confidentiality and legal ethics.
  7. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  8. Proficient in legal software and Microsoft Office applications.
  9. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
