Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team at the Brockton Behavioral Health Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.

About the Role
  • This full-time position offers 36 hours per week, with overnight shifts from 8pm to 8:30am, 12-hour shifts.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree from a Nurse Practitioner education program, with specialization in mental health, and hold current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts. Additionally, you should possess advanced practice certification by a nationally recognized certifying body and hold a valid DEA certificate and MA Controlled Substances certificate or eligibility.

Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate medical and psychosocial conditions, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide evidence-based evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.
  2. Provide crisis intervention as needed and complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  3. Collaborate with a broader team of physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and occupational therapists to assess and adjust treatment plans.
  4. Coordinate and communicate with case managers, family members, and other stakeholders regarding treatment and care.

In this role, you will participate in departmental and organizational quality improvement programs, teach students and other trainees, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Requirements
  • A Master's Degree from a Nurse Practitioner education program, with specialization in mental health, and current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts.
  • Advanced practice certification by a nationally recognized certifying body and a valid DEA certificate and MA Controlled Substances certificate or eligibility.
