Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Development Specialist to join our talented team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, energy consultants, L.E.E.D. experts, and municipal personnel to develop and maintain our housing products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with the Product Development Team to ensure seamless communication with stakeholders.
  • Assist in establishing project schedules and ensuring timely completion.
  • Maintain logical file management systems in line with company standards.
  • Compile housing product design submittal packages using Autodesk Design Review, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Bluebeam Revu, and other relevant software.
  • Modify design packages and construction documents based on feedback from Purchasing, Construction, Sales, and Senior Management.
  • Facilitate problem-solving with contractors during design development and value engineering phases.
  • Review final design packages and construction documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Evaluate compliance with building codes, jurisdictional requirements, community guidelines, and deed restrictions.
  • Assemble bid documents for the product in advance of Purchasing going out to bid.
  • Support the Purchasing team with trade and vendor questions on bid documents.
  • Oversight of model floor plan shells, complex site plans, landscaping, and pool design.
  • Construction document creation, submittal, and use permit approval for model sales center and construction offices.
  • Participation in model home and "first build" frame walks, and coordination of changes/revisions with Construction, Purchasing, Marketing, and outside consultants.
  • Foster good design and construction practices by visiting construction sites as needed.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • An Associate's degree or equivalent experience in construction management, architecture, or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in high-volume production homebuilding, residential architecture, and design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu is preferred.
  • Strong self-motivation, attention to detail, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $70,000-$90,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
