About the Role

At Great Day Improvements, we are seeking a skilled Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for measuring, installing, and testing products, as well as providing customers with instructions on proper usage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting routine inspections and providing accurate measurements of doors and windows.
  • Providing timely and quality repairs of customers' products, including screen installation, sash replacement, glass replacement, hardware replacement, and seal repairs.
  • Providing accurate measurements of doors and windows.
  • Coordinating required return visits, conveying needed services, materials, and labor.
  • Performing post-installation inspections.
  • Anticipating obstacles that could impact customer expectations, job costs, and/or code performance; recommending solutions.
  • Promoting the company's services.
  • Maintaining technical and mechanical skills.

Requirements

  • An Associate degree or technical certification in the industry.
  • Previous experience servicing windows and doors.
  • Previous experience in exterior replacement products.
  • Valid Driver's License and driving record acceptable to insurance company.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Managing overtime on service calls with patience and not rushing the job.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to diagnose and solve problems based on customers' non-technical descriptions.
  • Strong working knowledge of equipment and tools used in the industry.
  • Physical fitness to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and bend frequently.
  • Travel within radius of Great Day Improvements' locations.
