Role Overview


As a Land and Commercial Analyst at ExxonMobil, you will join elite teams and gain practical experience while working on impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist land professionals in reviewing and analyzing various oil and gas agreements.
  • Identify and track contract obligations, including acreage and expiration dates.
  • Support the preparation of detailed custom spreadsheets, reports, and presentations as required.
  • Research and process internal well proposals while monitoring partner responses.
  • Research and manage non-operated well proposals and associated AFEs.
  • Locate and analyze leases and contracts.
  • Create and validate acreage reports detailing gross, net, and company net acre figures.
  • Provide assistance with acquisitions and divestitures as needed.
  • Prepare Joint Operating Agreements, assignment forms, ratifications, etc., upon request.
  • Process payments to landowners and manage lease purchase documentation.
  • Review land files to ascertain ownership interests in company properties.
  • Comprehend and analyze complex agreements to generate well comments throughout the well lifecycle.
Qualifications

ExxonMobil seeks candidates with a solid understanding of Upstream oil and gas operations and a minimum of 5 years in land administration, management, or analyst roles, focusing on oil, gas, or mineral leasing and contracts.

Successful applicants will possess excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to achieve results in a performance-driven, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with common land management software such as Quorum, Arc GIS, Enverus, etc.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of oil and gas leases and agreements.
  • Strong foundation in land practices, including calculations like net acreage: WI/NRI.
  • Exceptional deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Utilize processes, systems, and controls to document, administer, and maintain commercial agreements and/or maps, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
