Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Cox-Powell is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for maintaining the functionality and appearance of our properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders, addressing issues or repairs.
  • Conduct repairs and troubleshoot equipment and systems to maintain functionality.
  • Perform general handyman tasks such as painting, carpentry, and minor renovations.
  • Perform Landscaping, mulching, trimming trees and bushes.
  • Identify and address potential hazards, safety concerns, or code violations.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or services.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Adhere to maintenance schedules and comply with safety and environmental standards.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in facilities management.
  • Knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical.
  • Proficient in performing various maintenance tasks.
  • Effective troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent time management and task prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands and Capability:
  • Ability to push, carry, lift, and pull objects, and bend, squat, crawl, and climb repeatedly.
  • Ability to work while standing, sitting, or lying down.
  • Maneuverability in tight spaces.
  • Capability of operating various machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Specific vision abilities, including focus adjustment and color differentiation.
  • Ability to perform small repairs including wood, plumbing, grounds care, and changing light bulbs.
