Schedule and Pay
This part-time position is scheduled to work Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. The estimated annual salary for this role is $37,440 - $55,560, based on a 20-hour workweek and an hourly rate of $18.00 - $28.60. Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties will include:
  • Creating a positive impression for each patient, family member, visitor, or staff member while performing pre-admitting, admitting, and/or registering tasks.
  • Interviewing patients or relatives to obtain demographic and financial information required to complete registration/admission and recording the information in the electronic record system.
  • Verifying insurance benefits; explaining financial requirements to the patient or patient representative, and collecting the outstanding patient portion prior to or at the point of service.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Office experience in a healthcare environment, preferably with medical terminology knowledge.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Windows XP, Windows 7, and website search engines.
