About the Position

Dexian is seeking a skilled CRD Business Systems Analyst to enhance our Application Development Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of business operations to identify and articulate business requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend and define needs that extend beyond the initial requirements. Transform business needs into functional specifications.
  • Utilize documented workflows and control mechanisms to collaborate with traders, risk operations, and the CRD implementation team in designing and configuring new workflows that address business needs while minimizing existing challenges, ensuring necessary control points are maintained. Document these new workflows effectively.
  • Provide an objective viewpoint on workflows and implementation specifics to guarantee optimal decision-making in the implementation process.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, development, and QA teams to validate that existing application integrations function as intended, ensuring all data elements are accurately loaded and displayed.
  • Work alongside the Project Management team to adhere to project timelines and deliverable expectations.
  • Act as the primary conduit between business stakeholders and the technology team to ensure accurate implementation of requirements within the designated timeframe. Communicate any significant changes in business requirements to stakeholders.
  • Define and clarify systems scope and objectives based on user needs and an understanding of relevant business systems and industry standards.
  • Ensure effective data processing through data validation checks and reports to support error-free business operations.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to develop comprehensive test plans. Review test cases created by the QA team and assist the automated testing team as necessary for performance/load testing and automated regression testing.
  • Oversee the implementation of new software to ensure a positive outcome for business stakeholders. Develop and maintain appropriate training materials and business documentation.
  • Adhere to the firm's Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring all procedural steps are followed prior to code release.
  • Provide application and production support as required for the departments and systems under your purview.

Qualifications & Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a business or technology-related discipline.
  • A minimum of five to seven years of experience in the financial services sector, particularly in supporting buy-side technology with a focus on equity trading.
  • Experience with the implementation of the Charles River Developer Investment Management System, preferably having worked as an implementation manager/specialist on hosted implementations.
  • A comprehensive background in trading, including trading systems, execution management systems, and order management.
  • Strong practical experience with SQL.
  • Robust technical skills, including a solid grasp of relevant technical architecture and business processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize resources and communicate clearly with others, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven analytical capabilities and the ability to make independent decisions.
  • A deep understanding of the systems development lifecycle, with the ability to conduct detailed analyses throughout all project phases.
  • Ability to assess the business implications of application technology in both current and future business environments.
  • Proven track record of developing innovative solutions to meet business requirements.
