Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Datacenter and Network Architect to join our Information Technology Group. As a key member of our team, you will design and implement information systems that support our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and operate optimal datacenter and server rooms
  • Participate in ongoing new datacenter and server room design projects
  • Coordinate datacenter and network services for new research labs and changes
  • Monitor datacenter operations and environmental controls to ensure uninterrupted service
  • Identify and manage current status of assets related to data centers and networks
  • Utilize datacenter and network management best practices and tools to investigate and resolve related performance issues
  • Define and document architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for datacenter and network related solutions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, or Master's with 3+ years or PhD in Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a datacenter and network administration
  • Experience in participating in and promoting new datacenter construction projects
  • Proficiency in networking topologies, setup, and testing high-speed networks commonly used in data center environments
  • Ability to identify complex problems, review information to develop and evaluate options, then propose solutions
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, including skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
