Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and operate optimal datacenter and server rooms
- Participate in ongoing new datacenter and server room design projects
- Coordinate datacenter and network services for new research labs and changes
- Monitor datacenter operations and environmental controls to ensure uninterrupted service
- Identify and manage the current status of assets related to data centers and networks
- Utilize datacenter and network management best practices and tools to investigate and resolve related performance issues
- Identify and manage the overall status of the datacenter, network, and related services
- Establish an optimal management process
- Define and document architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for datacenter and network-related solutions
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years, or PhD in Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a datacenter and network administrator
- Experience in participating in and promoting new datacenter construction projects
- Proficiency in networking topologies, setup, and testing high-speed networks commonly used in data center environments
- Ability to identify complex problems, review information to develop and evaluate options, and propose solutions
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, including skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience in customer support or quality assurance is a plus
