Job Title: Preconstruction Manager

Job Summary:

The Specialized Recruiting Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking a highly skilled Preconstruction Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial construction team, you will be responsible for reviewing project plans and specifications to meet our customers' expectations by acquiring competitive pricing for the entire scope of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze project plans and specifications to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Lead and mentor a team of estimators to ensure accurate and timely completion of estimating projects.
  • Collaborate with the estimating team to develop and implement estimating strategies and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the team's expertise and competitiveness.
  • Participate in business development activities to identify new opportunities and grow the business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating, with a focus on preconstruction and project management.
  • Proven track record of success in leading estimating teams and delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and cost management tools.

Working Environment:

This is a full-time position that requires working in an office environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
