About the Role

  • Lead a team of professionals to manage and support project execution, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and workforce to drive project success.
  • Review and process shop drawings, submittals, and schedules, and manage RFIs to ensure project progress.
  • Monitor and maintain quality control, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance and excellence.
  • Assist with project layout, identify critical work items, and procure long-lead items to ensure project readiness.
  • Manage document control, including submittals, schedules, contract documents, and shop drawings, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with monthly billings, cash flow projections, and process change orders to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Resolve field problems and conflicts with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce to ensure project continuity.
  • Instill safety as a top priority and maintain as-built drawings and manuals to ensure project knowledge retention.
  • Attend and/or lead meetings to ensure project progress and team alignment.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in highway heavy construction.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Competent in the use of computer software applications used for project control and administration, including Microsoft Applications and Outlook.
  • Knowledgeable in Primavera.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Possess high attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
  • Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent motivation skills.
  • Time Management, multitasking, and prioritization are crucial.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.

Working Conditions

  • Location - Southeast Region.
  • Travel Required.
  • Construction Site Environment - Physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach, and climb. Exposed to high noise levels.
  • Construction Site Office Environment - Extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping, and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.
