Job Overview

At Whole Foods Market, our mission is to nurture both individuals and the environment. In this position, you will oversee the Customer Service and E-Commerce initiatives, which involves managing processes that enhance the checkout experience and facilitate grocery delivery and pickup at your designated location. Your primary focus will be on ensuring safety, maintaining the quality of online orders, providing an exceptional pickup experience, optimizing team productivity, and executing program objectives. You will track key performance indicators and in-store visual metrics to evaluate the Team's effectiveness in these areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences and hold all Team Members accountable for providing top-notch service.
  • Set clear expectations for balancing in-store customer interactions with online order fulfillment.
  • Monitor customer flow both in-store and online; delegate tasks related to customer service and online order completion to meet all customers' needs.
  • Stay informed about relevant competitors and industry developments.
  • Ensure prompt and effective responses to customer inquiries, requests, and concerns.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with departmental leaders, store management, and delivery partners.
  • Encourage a positive atmosphere of teamwork, mutual respect, and high morale.
  • Uphold Team Member safety and security standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards.
  • Develop, coach, mentor, and motivate Team Members to sustain a high-performing team and reduce turnover.
  • Maintain cleanliness in work areas, including staging zones and storage units.
  • Safeguard equipment, such as mobile scanning devices and currency counters.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Consistently communicate and exemplify Whole Foods Market's core values and leadership principles.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to manage tasks while balancing dynamic customer flows.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of underperformance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team-building, and customer relationship skills.
  • Capable of instructing others in a constructive and positive manner.
  • Proficient in using email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related software.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 months of experience in a retail environment.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • In an 8-hour workday: standing/walking for 6-8 hours.
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
  • Work involves bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
  • Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning agents.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, including freezing and refrigerated conditions.
  • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment, including box cutters and electric pallet jacks.

The wage range for this position is $30.20 per hour, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers comprehensive benefits, which may include health insurance, retirement plans, eligibility for store discounts, paid time off, and access to additional benefit programs.
