Chief Information Technology Officer

We are a leading organization seeking a seasoned Chief Information Technology Officer to join our executive team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting and executing a technology strategy that aligns with our business objectives, fostering innovation, and enhancing operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Formulate and execute a holistic technology strategy that supports the company's overarching goals, emphasizing return on investment from significant technology projects.
  • Operational Excellence: Maximize the value derived from our various operational platforms. Spearhead automation and efficiency projects, including robotic process automation, artificial intelligence, and workflow enhancements.
  • Digital Transformation: Direct the digitization of essential business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Data Governance: Establish a comprehensive approach to data management across all divisions. Assess the necessity for an integrated data warehouse or data lake to streamline data access, considering the specific challenges of our operations.
  • Application Oversight: Create strategic plans for key applications, whether on-premise or cloud-based. Supervise a data analytics function to ensure intuitive data accessibility.
  • Software Development Management: Oversee software development initiatives aimed at enhancing internally developed applications. Evaluate and select potential third-party development partners to augment capabilities.
  • Leadership Development: Provide guidance and mentorship to the technology team, fostering a high-performance culture. Ensure the delivery of technology services and solutions that meet business requirements and customer expectations.
  • Cybersecurity Compliance: Ensure that all technology solutions are developed in accordance with established cybersecurity protocols.
  • Technological Advancement: Lead the exploration, assessment, and integration of innovative technologies to gain competitive advantages and enhance customer experiences. Collaborate with other department leaders to define and deliver new products and enhancements that drive business growth.
  • Budget Management: Oversee a portion of the technology budget, ensuring effective resource allocation to support key initiatives. Prepare annual budgets for review.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the insurance brokerage sector is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; an MBA is advantageous.
  • A strategic thinker with strong business insight and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven track record as a CTO, VP of IT, or similar leadership role in a technology-centric organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of contemporary technology architectures, software, and cloud infrastructures.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a collaborative environment.
