Job Overview

We are in search of a proactive and seasoned Chief Technology Officer to become a vital part of our executive team. In this role, you will be tasked with formulating and executing a technology roadmap that is in harmony with our corporate strategic objectives, fostering innovation, and ensuring operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Craft and execute a detailed technology roadmap that aligns with the company’s overarching goals, emphasizing return on investment from significant technology projects.
  • Operational Excellence: Maximize the effectiveness of our various operational platforms, including Salesforce, Applied, and Ventiv. Spearhead automation and efficiency projects such as RPA, AI, and process enhancements to streamline workflows.
  • Change Management: Drive the digital transformation of essential business processes to boost efficiency and productivity.
  • Data Governance: Establish a comprehensive strategy for data governance across all business units. Assess the necessity for an integrated data warehouse or data lake to unify data access, taking into account the specific challenges of retail and wholesale sectors.
  • Application Oversight: Formulate strategies for key applications regarding on-premise versus cloud-based solutions. Supervise a data analytics team to ensure seamless and intuitive data accessibility.
  • Software Management: Oversee software development teams responsible for creating and enhancing in-house applications. Evaluate and select potential third-party development partners (both onshore and offshore) to supplement capabilities.
  • Team Leadership: Provide direction and mentorship to the technology team, fostering a high-performance technical environment. Ensure the delivery of technology services and solutions that meet business requirements and customer expectations efficiently.
  • Cybersecurity: Guarantee that all technology solutions are developed in accordance with our cybersecurity standards.
  • Technological Advancement: Lead the exploration, assessment, and integration of innovative technologies to gain competitive advantages and enhance customer experiences. Collaborate with other department heads to define and deliver new products and improvements that stimulate business growth.
  • Budget Management: Oversee a portion of the technology budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support critical initiatives. Prepare annual budget proposals for evaluation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in the insurance brokerage sector is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; an MBA is advantageous.
  • A strategic mindset with robust business insight and the capability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience as a CTO, VP of IT, or in a comparable leadership position within a technology-centric organization.
  • Strong grasp of contemporary technology frameworks, software, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Proven capability to lead and motivate a team in a collaborative setting.
