Key Responsibilities- Plan, implement, and coordinate patient care to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Assess patient needs and provide education and support to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Manage patient medication refill requests and document relevant information in patient charts.
- Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure timely and effective care.
- Act as a resource and mentor to less experienced nursing staff.
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
- RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Five years nursing experience, preferably in oncology or infusion therapy.
The work environment for this role will involve exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.
Physical RequirementsThis role requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Standing and walking for extensive periods of time are also required. Occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 lbs may be necessary.
