Texas Oncology is seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Infusion Registered Nurse to join our team at the Westover Hills location. This is a full-time position with no weekends, call, or major holidays. Responsibilities:

* Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.

* Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding their current status and medical history.
* Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
* Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.

* Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.

* Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart.
* Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments for patients.
* Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient's chart.
* As necessary, facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.
* Assist patients in locating available community resources.

* Inter-professional collaboration.

* Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.

Qualifications:

* Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
* RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
* Five years nursing experience.
