This role presents an exceptional opportunity to engage in a dynamic academic setting within a leading children's hospital recognized nationally for excellence. The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine is in search of a Pediatric Cardiologist with specialization in heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and cardiac transplantation.

The Heart Failure Program consists of a collaborative team including faculty, advanced practice providers, and pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons. The Pediatric Cardiologist will focus on delivering comprehensive care to both inpatients and outpatients suffering from cardiomyopathy, heart failure related to congenital heart disease, and those undergoing heart transplantation. Responsibilities will include participation in general cardiology night and weekend call, outpatient clinic services, and inpatient care, alongside specialized duties in their area of expertise. Clinical responsibilities may extend to outreach clinic settings, with services provided at Primary Children's Hospital and affiliated outreach sites.

In addition to clinical duties, there is a strong emphasis on academic contributions, including education, research, and administrative responsibilities, with dedicated time allocated for these activities. A robust support structure and mentoring opportunities are available within the Division.

Established in 1991, the heart failure and transplant program has experienced significant growth, performing numerous transplants and VADs annually, consistently surpassing national survival benchmarks. The program also integrates a Fontan/heart failure initiative.

Qualifications: Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Cardiology, with specialized training in heart failure, cardiomyopathy, and transplantation. A fourth year of additional training in pediatric heart failure is mandatory. The selected candidate will be appointed to the Department of Pediatrics on either the Clinical or Tenure Track, at a level commensurate with their experience and qualifications.
