How We Inspire:

UMG is currently seeking a Senior Finance Specialist to join our Central Accounting Services (CAS) division. This role will play a crucial part in supporting the general accounting close cycle, preparing third-party statements, and facilitating corporate reporting across various UMG labels and departments. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of relevant experience in general ledger and/or corporate reporting, hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, and preferably have CPA credentials.

Our CAS team is dedicated to enhancing our contribution to the organization through mentorship, individual growth, and innovative process improvements. We are in search of a motivated colleague with a strong work ethic and analytical mindset. This position offers a Hybrid work schedule.

How You'll Contribute:

In this position, the successful candidate will engage in a variety of accounting, analysis, and reporting tasks across multiple labels, including:

  • Assisting in the monthly financial close and reporting cycle.
  • Preparing and generating journal entries.
  • Creating management financial packages, including financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting analytics for senior finance management review.
  • Preparing and/or reviewing third-party participation statements based on contractual agreements.
  • Supporting special projects and initiatives for process enhancement.
What You Bring:
  • Flexibility in work hours during the month-end close.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of comprehensive general ledger accounting or corporate reporting experience; public accounting experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar general ledger systems.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word; experience with Macros is advantageous.
  • Experience with HFM is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Authorization to work in the US.
