Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will be instrumental in overseeing financial operations and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will thrive in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment where your expertise, professionalism, and teamwork will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in alignment with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Oversee the consolidation of international subsidiaries.
  • Guarantee precise and prompt processing of financial transactions in accordance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct thorough account reconciliations.
  • Perform variance analyses to uncover trends, discrepancies, and areas for enhancement.
  • Monitor budget performance, investigate variances, and propose corrective measures as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with the Revenue Cycle Management team to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Prepare periodic tax submissions, including business property, sales, use, and franchise taxes.
  • Assist with external audits and tax preparation inquiries.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the clinical laboratory sector.
  • Strong grasp of GAAP, financial principles, and accounting methodologies.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Accumatica, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) along with advanced MS Excel capabilities.
  • Experience with billing and collection software (e.g., Xifin, Telcor, Quadax) is preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to present financial information to varied audiences.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and adept at prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confidentiality is paramount.
  • Experience with ERP system implementations is a plus.
