Position Overview:

We are seeking a Machine Shop Scheduler responsible for orchestrating and managing the workflow within our machine shop to enhance production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and maintain the production schedule for the machine shop to align with delivery requirements while optimizing workflow.
  • Analyze production capabilities to determine appropriate timelines.
  • Collaborate with various departments regarding order progress, shipping timelines, product availability, and back orders.
  • Oversee the order processes involved in receiving, verifying, and processing changes within the ERP system.
  • Direct and manage the execution of work orders, addressing inquiries about order status and resolving any issues.
  • Establish and manage inventory levels for minimum and maximum stock items.
  • Work with the Maintenance team to plan for equipment downtime.
  • Coordinate with Engineering for scheduling research and development initiatives.
  • Identify potential material shortages that could affect scheduling.
  • Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets for tracking purposes.
  • Address unexpected challenges in the production process that may necessitate resource reallocation.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

  • Associate degree is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience with ERP systems and BOMs.
  • APICS Certification is advantageous.
  • 3-5 years of experience with CNC Mills, Lathes, and Routers.

Minimum:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • High school diploma is required.
