Job SummarySlabe Machine Products is seeking a skilled Gage Room Attendant to manage and maintain our precision measurement instruments. The ideal candidate will have experience in gage management, calibration, and tool room maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gage Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of gages and measuring instruments, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
  • Calibration: Coordinate and perform regular calibration of gages and measuring instruments according to industry standards and company procedures.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of calibration, repairs, and certifications for all gages, ensuring compliance with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Inspection Support: Assist quality inspectors and production staff by providing calibrated gages and measuring instruments as needed.
  • Tool Room Maintenance: Keep the gage room organized, clean, and secure, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations, ensuring compliance with aerospace and defense industry standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the gage management process.


Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a gage room or tool room environment, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using calibration equipment and software.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
