Job Overview

The US Postal Service is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Rural Carrier Associate to join our team. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering mail along a prescribed rural route using a vehicle.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver mail to customers along a prescribed route on a regular schedule by a vehicle;
  • Collect monies and receipt for accountable mail;
  • Loading mail in the vehicle, preparing mail for forwarding and maintaining records of change of address information;
  • Maintaining a list of the customers on the route and conducting special surveys when required;
  • Providing mail security at all times and preparing a daily trip report;

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required;
  • A valid driver's license and a safe driving record are necessary;
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and lift up to 70 pounds is essential;
  • The ability to pass a physical abilities test and maintain a satisfactory level of physical fitness is required.

Benefits and Compensation
