About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Subcontract Manager to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our Contracts department, you will be responsible for all aspects of subcontract formation and administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement subcontract formation and administration strategies to ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies.
  • Support general procurement activities, including evaluating requirements and preparing RFQ/RFPs.
  • Evaluate subcontractor proposals, analyzing exceptions to terms, performing risk assessments, and conducting cost or price analysis as necessary.
  • Develop negotiation strategies and negotiate and award subcontracts.
  • Produce and maintain all subcontract records, including developing and documenting small business plans in accordance with government regulations.
  • Monitor performance of subcontractors, negotiate changes, and perform closeout on subcontracts in accordance with company procedures.
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Prepare and negotiate other agreements as requested.
  • Assist in updating department policies and procedures, including researching current regulations and laws.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, DCAA, and other agency regulations.
  • Familiarity with DCAA audits.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and exhibit excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related field.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a BS degree.
  • Additional specific government contract management education or certifications a plus.
  • Eight (8) plus years of experience in various types of subcontracts for complex items or R&D under federal government contracts, including cost-type and fixed price.
