Job Title: Project Manager I

Mesa Energy Systems, a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager I to lead our HVAC mechanical services team.

Job Summary

The Project Manager I will be responsible for managing the overall operations of our contracts, including daily operations, scheduled maintenance, and administration of subcontracts for facilities work. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills to ensure the efficient operation of our projects, controlling operational expenses while meeting sound maintenance practices and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare quarterly financial forecasts and monthly updates to ensure contract management meets all contractual requirements and Mesa Energy Systems financial goals.
  • Lead a team of technical employees, maintaining a strong, trained, and disciplined workforce.
  • Manage the overall operations of the contract, including daily operations, scheduled maintenance, and administration of subcontracts for facilities work.
  • Evaluate and ensure the efficient operation of the project, controlling operational expenses at a minimum level consistent with sound maintenance practices and contractual requirements.
  • Provide administrative and technical direction and supervision to staff in completing work assignments.
  • Discuss, plan, and delegate major project assignments to supervisory staff; determine building priorities that are of significant scope.
  • Ensure proper upkeep of facilities, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, sanitation, general appearance of buildings and grounds, and emergency situations affecting the facilities.
  • Coordinate the purchase of necessary supplies, equipment, and services from appropriate sources and maintain proper inventory control, maintenance, and consumable supplies.
  • Maintain liaison with architects, engineers, and contractors/subcontractors engaged in plant expansion, renovation, or other major projects.
  • Maintain sufficient records, files, controls, procedures to ensure management and work production.
  • Develop training sessions for employees who require them.
  • Maintain a strong safety program.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction discipline.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience managing HVAC projects.
  • Strong experience with Windows and MS Office.
  • Demonstrated skill at developing and nurturing client relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Skilled in organizing and leading groups of people.
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team and adapting to changing priorities.
