About the Position:
As a Technical Field Service Specialist, you will be traveling nationwide to assist clients such as major distribution centers, providing support for electrical, mechanical, and electronic industrial systems, including conveyors, sorting and automated equipment, and packaging handling systems.
Position Overview: (Opportunities available for various experience levels from Junior to Senior/Lead)
- Positions available for a range of skill sets including electrical, mechanical, and electronics.
- Salary range is flexible based on experience.
Compensation Package:
- Base Hourly Rate: $25-$30/hr, depending on experience.
- Untaxed Weekly Per Diem: Typically ranges from $400-$500 based on IRS rates per location, with no deductions.
- Overtime: Expect significant overtime opportunities.
- Bonus: Flight hours are included in your weekly hours (e.g., work 50 hours, fly 5 hours = 55 hours total).
- All expenses covered: Rental vehicles, flights, hotels, etc., are pre-arranged with no out-of-pocket costs.
Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Technical Field Service Specialist may encompass a variety of tasks including installation, service and repairs, systems troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, commissioning, customer support, and training.
At the Senior/Lead level, duties may extend to diagnostics, system configurations, fabrication/assembly, trial runs, investigative tests, and overhauls. Additional training on products will be provided.
- Work will primarily involve mechanical and/or electrical tasks, including equipment installation, network upgrades, trial runs, investigative tests, repairs, and overhauls.
- Troubleshoot installation challenges.
- Possess electronic and mechanical skills; a foundational understanding of electronics or mechanics is essential.
- Experience in mechanical, electronics, system upgrades, or similar technical fields is required.
- Proficient in the installation, maintenance, and service of industrial systems (mechanical, electrical, and/or electronics).
- Experience with robotics and/or automated systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Willingness to travel frequently – approximately 90% of the time.
