The selected candidate will engage in a contract role with an initial duration of 12 months, with the potential for extension. The compensation for this position is set at $45 per hour on a W-2 basis, with a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Articulate the company's proposals and the analytical foundation to internal stakeholders, offering tariff interpretations to various personnel, regulatory bodies, clients, and consultants. Prepare documentation for tariff modifications beyond standard rate cases.
  • Advise technical teams and customer service departments on new rate structures and their application in billing systems.
  • Design and refine technical and cost analysis frameworks, spreadsheets, and models to facilitate electric and gas rate design, special tariff provisions, and conditions for customer billing rates, while contributing to corporate regulatory and legislative strategies.
  • Conduct economic modeling and comprehensive analysis.
  • Draft and develop sections of rate-related testimonies and suggest strategic development areas.
  • Prepare responses to inquiries from interveners concerning rate filings or related issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as accounting, engineering, economics, or mathematics.
  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Fundamental understanding of the utility sector, along with economic and financial analysis and accounting principles.
  • Preferred experience in utility cost of service analysis and rate design.
  • Strong proficiency in quantitative analysis and spreadsheet modeling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective planning and organizational abilities.
