Job Overview

As a Level II Maintenance Technician at Right Fit Right Hire, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes by delivering comprehensive multi-craft equipment maintenance with a focus on reliability and efficiency.

Shift: 3rd Shift, 11 PM to 7 AM

Hours: Hourly position with opportunities for overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions using systematic and logical approaches.
  • Install and align mechanical drive systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Execute all assigned preventive maintenance tasks, including major service and overhauls.
  • Replace any identified faulty parts or components as necessary.
  • Adjust machinery to meet operational specifications and requirements.
  • Maintain proper lubrication of machinery to ensure longevity and efficiency.
  • Propose changes to processes or procedures based on observed equipment performance.
  • Conduct testing of electrical systems and verify circuit continuity using appropriate testing devices to ensure safe and effective operation.
  • Install, inspect, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records to establish historical data and inform future maintenance needs.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians and operators on equipment servicing and maintenance best practices.
  • Commit to continuous learning to stay updated with maintenance techniques and equipment advancements.
  • Complete an annual Maintenance Skills Assessment and engage in training activities based on assessment outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong background in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CMMS, etc.).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Familiarity with standard shop equipment such as drill presses, band saws, and portable power tools.
  • Capability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments.
  • Aptitude for mentoring and training fellow technicians.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Successful completion of relevant certification testing.
  • 2-year Technical Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing or a related field is required.
