Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Analyst to join our team at Midway Products Group. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for coordinating with outside processors and serving as the main point of contact for all customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with outside processors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all customers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the movement of materials in and out of the plant, ensuring that production schedules are met.
  • Release purchased parts to suppliers, ensuring that parts are received on time to meet production schedules.
  • Assist with production scheduling and coordinate prototype and launch activity with respect to the material control function.
  • Maintain a strong communication bond between the plant and suppliers, addressing concerns regarding quality, delivery, and services.
  • Review DDL and schedule shipments in the absence of the shipping Area Manager.
  • Identify areas of concern with regards to shipping or production schedules.
  • Attend daily production meetings and promote team and internal advancement.
  • Authorized to initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, processes, and quality systems.
  • Maintain and monitor all customer order activity.
Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Materials Management or a related field is preferred, along with at least 2 to 5 years of experience in purchasing or production control, preferably with an automotive supplier.

Computer literacy with experience in spreadsheet applications and Inventory Control is required.

Working Conditions

The employee will normally work in an office environment but may be subject to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment, and machine parts.
