UC Irvine Health Movement Disorders Program

The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) is seeking a board eligible/certified physician to join its Movement Disorders Program. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong interest and commitment to the care of patients with movement disorders and will participate in specialty and interdisciplinary clinics at UCI Health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive, compassionate, and world-class care for patients with movement disorders, including Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, Lewy Body disease, and other conditions.
  • Participate in clinical research and trials, collaborating with colleagues in Neurosurgery, Family Medicine/Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology, and the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute.
  • Teach and mentor residents, medical students, and post-doctoral fellows in the UCI Neurology Program.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative clinical and research programs in movement disorders.
Requirements
  • MD, MD/PhD, DO, or equivalent degree with active board certification or eligibility in Neurology and fellowship training in Movement Disorders.
  • Eligibility to obtain an active and unrestricted medical practice license to practice in the State of California.
  • Qualified to hold a faculty appointment in the Department of Neurology and hold medical staff privileges with the UCI Medical Center.
