POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Risk Management Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the execution and oversight of Entergy's vendor management protocols. This position is tasked with the validation and examination of security measures for external vendors and internal projects. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, audits, and assessments of security and privacy control reports, as well as the overall security posture across the organization, including third-party relationships. The role involves performing security assessments and evaluations of system security controls as needed.

The Lead Risk Management Analyst collaborates with various business units to monitor vendor review requests, collect relevant vendor data, and report the status of these requests to management. Additionally, this role aids the Chief Security Officer's department in enhancing employee awareness regarding security threats and strategies to safeguard critical infrastructure, data, and assets. This position is instrumental in driving security objectives to reduce risks associated with both existing and emerging vulnerabilities and threats across on-site, offshore, and cloud environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors Vendor Assessment Review Requests and updates requestors on their status Evaluates assessment reports against asset control objectives to assess effectiveness Conducts vendor risk assessments (including supply chain assessments) as required Reports on control testing via the Controls Dashboard Prepares comprehensive reports on vendor risk across the organization Guides business units to ensure thorough understanding of the Vendor Risk Management program requirements Presents findings on high-risk vendor contracts and procurement risks to executive management, highlighting vendor risks and planned actions to address control deficiencies Leads vendor risk assessments, formulates mitigation strategies, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to assign monitoring responsibilities Works with Business Units and internal support teams to ensure compliance with risk assessment and mitigation requirements Engages in data analytics and reporting activities, maintaining vendor risk reporting systems, and tracking outcomes from vendor management efforts. Collects, organizes, and disseminates reports and documents, recommending improvements to reporting and audit tools Analyzes and refines procedures and processes to continuously enhance vendor risk management practices Stays updated on the latest trends and developments in vendor risk management MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Experience:

5+ years in internal or external auditing, security testing, or risk management and analysis

3+ years of general IT experience

3+ years in IT security or IT risk management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficient technical documentation skills
  • Professional demeanor with outstanding interpersonal skills, including teamwork and negotiation
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally

  • Ability to lead teams of up to five individuals in assessments and cross-functional initiatives
  • Comprehensive technical skills and experience in IT, security, and privacy
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills; detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of widely accepted audit and risk frameworks (e.g., COBIT, NIST) and regulatory guidelines (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA)
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting the utility sector with expertise in specific areas
Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with Vendor Risk Management tools
  • Knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI
Certifications:

One or more of the following certifications or equivalent:
  • Certified Third Party Risk Professional (CTPRP)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
