Property Maintenance Technician

At 21c Museum Hotels, we're passionate about creating unique and welcoming experiences for our guests. As a Property Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our properties are safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs in specialized areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
  • Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas.
  • Document all parts used and parts needed to be purchased.
  • Report any unsafe conditions to the Chief Engineer.
Specific Tasks:
  • Check with the Front Desk to ensure all guest issues have been resolved.
  • Verify HVAC loop temperatures are at normal operating temperatures.
  • Check domestic hot water temperatures.
  • Conduct daily walks of the building to identify lights out and other potential issues.
  • Follow up on housekeeping calls for maintenance issues.
  • Repair broken furniture as assigned.
  • Ensure all work orders are completed.
  • Verify inventory levels with the Chief Engineer.
  • Change air and water filters throughout the building.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance in guest rooms, public spaces, kitchen, restaurant, storage, and office areas.
  • Assist valet with resolving guest auto issues such as jump starts and flat tires.
  • Assist guests with internet connectivity issues.
  • Support other departments as needed.
Requirements:
  • Basic knowledge of building mechanical systems and controls, energy management, and building maintenance skills.
  • Minimal comprehension and literacy required to read instructions and repair manuals.
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
