Multicultural Care Center LLC is in search of a Housing Support Specialist to join our Housing Stabilization Service (HSS) team. This position is essential in facilitating housing access for single adults in the Hennepin and Ramsey Counties through screening, housing search, placement, and landlord engagement.
The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional skills in building relationships with private landlords and property managers, while providing case management, housing support, and direct assistance. A person-centered, harm reduction, and housing-first methodology is crucial when engaging with participants from various backgrounds who have experienced homelessness and behavioral health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting housing intake, search, and placementCreating tailored housing search and placement strategiesFostering connections with private landlords and property managersLinking households to essential resources and benefitsAssisting with relocation tasks and logisticsDelivering tenancy support services and crisis managementPromoting participant health and well-beingAssisting participants in enhancing income and accessing transportationMaintaining documentation and case recordsQualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related discipline
- 2-3 years of experience in providing support to individuals facing behavioral health challenges
Salary Range: $21.00-$22.00/hr. based on qualifications
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts
