Job Title: Lead Advocate

Join The Salvation Army Central Territory as a Lead Advocate and play a vital role in providing supervision to the Housing Case Manager Team. This position requires a strong understanding of social services, housing support, and transitional housing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain positive working relationships with housing staff, County case workers, and partner housing service agencies.
  • Coordinate and implement a training curriculum for staff, including crisis response, cultural competency, and program evaluation.
  • Ensure all employee performance evaluations are completed annually and perform a review of each new hire after 90 days.
  • Coordinate all case management services and ensure residents receive skilled case management as needed.
  • Facilitate weekly case manager meetings and offer consultation and feedback.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services or related field.
  • Experience and knowledge in HIV/AIDS, Mental Health, Chemical Addiction, and Homelessness.
  • Ability to supervise employees and volunteers, accept supervision, and work with a team.
  • Understanding of social services, eligible benefits, and cultural diversity.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft products.
  • Willingness to support The Salvation Army's mission and pass background checks.
Working Conditions:

This position requires a flexible work schedule and the ability to work in a team environment. The incumbent will be required to travel by personal vehicle or organization vehicle as needed.
