We are seeking a seasoned and visionary leader to join our team as Executive Director at Health Research, Inc. (HRI). As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of HRI and driving our mission to improve the health and well-being of New Yorkers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide creative leadership and strategic direction to HRI, inspiring excellence among our dedicated professionals.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, identifying opportunities for increased innovation and growth.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving organizational excellence and accountability.
- Oversee all aspects of HRI's operations, including finance, human resources, information systems, sponsored programs, technology transfer, contracts, and operations.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive HRI's mission and goals, ensuring alignment with our values and priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the direction of a public health, health, human services, community-based, or other related nonprofit organization or major program.
- Or an Associate's degree in a related field and twelve years of such experience.
- Or fourteen years of such experience, including experience with Federal Uniform Guidance, handling of highly confidential information and materials, budget management, and planning, delegation, and facilitation of activities.
- Ability to foster a positive team-oriented work environment and establish creative collaborative working relationships with public health professionals and external business stakeholders.
- Robust background in financial and operational management in a not-for-profit environment, including managing complex budgets with various funding streams and different reporting requirements.
- Knowledge and experience with community health education, prevention, and primary care programs.
- Understanding of basic research and laboratory science and public health laboratory functions and operations.
