Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with hemodialysis treatments, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any unusual findings to the nurse supervisor.
  • Perform vascular access evaluation and cannulation, as well as administer heparin as delegated or allowed by state law.
  • Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders and evaluate intradialytic problems, providing intervention as necessary.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, including treatment data and vital signs.
Requirements
  • Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)-approved state and/or national certification or High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
  • Successful completion of the FMCNA dialysis training program and CPR certification.
