Position Overview

Healthcare Assistant/CT Technician

The Healthcare Assistant will collaborate with the medical professionals at Southern Indiana ENT to provide timely, precise, and empathetic patient services. We are looking for skilled candidates who are eager to enhance their expertise in a distinctive and thorough ENT care environment. This full-time role operates from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, with potential travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Physicians in evaluating, managing, documenting, and treating patients in an outpatient care environment.
  • Step in as a CT Technician when necessary.
  • Ensure smooth patient flow and perform essential tasks such as taking vital signs, documenting chief complaints, reviewing medications, and conducting point-of-care tests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination and treatment areas, including restocking supplies and sterilizing instruments.
  • Oversee the management of the Provider's Athena Inboxes.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
  • Must be capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CPR Certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Healthcare Assistant is required.
  • Familiarity with Athena is preferred.
  • Graduation from a Medical Assistant Program is advantageous.
  • At least two years of clinical experience is preferred.

Supervisory Role

This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

Certifications and Licenses

Required: Valid Medical Assistant Certification from AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT, or a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. CT Technician Certification is also required.

All employees must possess a valid driver's license and provide proof of vaccination or an exemption.

Compensation

Hourly wage ranges from $26 to $30 based on experience, plus travel reimbursement.
