About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team on a PRN basis. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing continuous patient care, supervision, and interaction to patients ranging in age from late childhood through late adolescence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide continuous patient care, supervision, and interaction to patients
  • Ensure the safety of residents and promote a smooth transition back into the home or an additional level of care
  • Work under the direction of the Direct Care Supervisor to provide individualized treatment goals for each patient
  • Participate in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to increase the development of behavioral skills
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to provide a balance of therapy, education, and fun activities in a safe, structured setting
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness, preferred
  • Must maintain a valid Indiana driver's license
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • CPR and First Aid certification and successful completion of HWC within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in a seclusion/restraint intervention
